Forex Market Trading Hours

It’s true that forex is a round-the-clock market: it starts from Sunday 20:00 GMT through Friday 21:00 GMT. However, the best time to trade is when the market is the most active. There are periods of time when there are large orders on the currency market and prices tend to move more, in one direction or the other. This happens especially in the overlap of the London trading session and the New York session.

Basically, forex trading starts in New Zealand and, moving westward, is followed by Australia, Japan and other Asian business hubs, notably Hong Kong and Singapore, Europe, and finishes in North America.

The UK trading session account for the greatest volume of forex market activity. That’s why about 60% to 70% of New York forex trading activity takes place in the morning hours while London is still open.

A risk-free method of starting off in currency trading is by taking advantage of the numerous No Deposit Forex offers out there. Not every broker offers these. For instance, Oanda, Dukascopy and Denmark-based Saxo Bank don't seem to provide bonuses. However, you can sometimes find them on some Forex trader blog or forex forum. Blogs are also known to contain analysis and some of them have the best Forex forecast you can find.
